We all do and say things we regret. We often forget that though Jesus died for our sins, his death and resurrection do not prevent us from sinning more often than we would like. We hear words like atonement, contrition, forgiveness, and maybe even forgive and forget, but do we really know what those words mean. Brother Mark speaks of these things as he discusses his feelings following one of those things that he regrets.
We open the Book of Jeremiah this week and begin to read the prophesies made during his lifetime. Jeremiah breaks the mold of most prophets and is more open and available in society. Brother Thom draws some comparisons between what was expected of prophets thousands of years ago, and what is expected of overseers (pastors) today.
